Mr. Alain Astié, founder of the Barre Astié method, visited Japan for the first time after five years, to teach special workshops at Noah Studio Gakugeidai in Tokyo, where participated 150 students and teachers. A special workshop was also held at the Chacott flagship store in Daikanyama, a well-known store specialising in ballet and dance apparel. The workshop had an enormous success as it was sold out in just two minutes!

He reunited with familiar faces and charmed newcomers, with long queues formed for photos after each class. The classes were enthusiastically received, creating a great atmosphere. A special class for instructors was also held, offering valuable insights to instructors from across Japan. While online lessons are excellent, sharing the experience in person was truly special.

Beyond Tokyo, workshops were held at Asai Rieko Ballet School in Fukui and Haruyo Ballet in Saga, with participants ranging from children to adults.
At the end of his two weeks stay in Japan, Alain returned home in great spirit. He has been lucky with the weather (though it did snow on the last day!), and his time in Japan was filled with joy and enrichment, passing by blink of an eye!
